Founded in 1831, the Leinster Express has seen and experienced much history and change.

Recent times have proven to be no exception, and has seen the paper embrace the exciting new digital era which has transformed media.

To keep abreast of change and new developments, next week we will be relaunching the Leinster Express.

Our new look paper will continue to capture the heart of the local community with all the news, views, sports, events and issues that matter to you.

In a new fresh looking format, the Leinster Express will continue to set the local news agenda. We will continue to ask the pertinent questions on your behalf.

The Leinster Express print edition will publish alongside our 24/7 online news and information service through the www.leinsterexpress.ie website.

As the definitive news portal for the area, we will be first with the news, every day of the week, every hour of the day.

We will break the stories online and follow them in further detail, and with greater analysis, in our print edition.

Our forthcoming new-look website will be easy to navigate and will be your first port for all each day for news and information from Laois, and the wider Midlands region.

As always the Leinster Express will continue to lead the way and inform public opinion locally – a duty we have taken seriously since the paper’s foundation in 1831.
