Laois people thanked for help

UNICEF Ireland and banana importer Fyffes have come together to thank the people of Laois for supporting their recent humanitarian aid programme.

UNICEF Ireland and banana importer Fyffes have come together to thank the people of Laois for supporting their recent humanitarian aid programme.

Laois help contributed 1 million polio vaccinations being administered to young children in Nigeria and other countries threatened by the deadly virus.

The public gave their support to the project through their purchase of Fyffes bagged bananas through outlets in the Dunnes Stores, SuperValu and other leading retail chains.
