Clonlaslee-based construction company Carroll O’Keeffe & Co Ltd recently held a site BBQ to raise funds for the Lighthouse Club Charity. The Lighthouse Construction Industry Charity is the only charity that provides emotional, physical, and financial well-being support to construction workers and their families. The Laois company says this is why they wanted to raise awareness among their workers and their suppliers of the services available to them and to raise awareness around mental health in the construction industry.
The BBQ was a great day and the feedback received by all in attendance was very positive. The company raised a total of €2446.80 for this great cause from the generous donations of their valued employees, sub-contractors and suppliers.
Carroll O'Keeffe also pledged €1000 to become a Company supporter of the Lighthouse Club, bringing the final sum to €3446.80
