The M8 Dublin-Cork motorway
A woman who was driving on the motorway at 149 kph has been fined.
Anne Margaret Austin, 53, of 4 Kerdiff Close, Naas, Co Kildare was detected driving at the speed on the M8, a 120kmh zone, at Springfield, Laois on February 21, 2021.
Garda Stephen O’Hanlon said he detected the speeding and issued a fixed charge penalty notice. He said the woman has no previous convictions.
Judge Andrew Cody imposed a fine of €350 at a sitting of Portlaoise District Court.
