Gardai are appealing for information in relation after a handbag was stolen from a car in Laois at the weekend.
The incident occurred in Emo Court car park when a car’s window was smashed and the handbag taken on Sunday.
Gardai say it is unusual for such thefts to occur in the area and they are appealing to anyone who witnessed anything suspicious or who has dashcam footage from the area.
They have not ruled out the possibility that the theft may be linked to similar incidents in neighbouring counties, including Carlow over the weekend.
Gardai also reminded people never to leave valuables in their vehicles.
