A motorist who was clocked travelling at 179 kph in Laois has tested positive for cocaine.
Laois Offaly Gardai arrested the driver earlier today following the incident on the motorway where a 120 kph limit is in place.
“Laois Roads Policing this morning detected this vehicle travelling at 179kph on the M7.
The driver when stopped failed the road side drug wipe for cocaine. Driver arrested and charged to appear before Portlaoise District Court,” Gardai said.
