A woman appeared in court charged with assaulting two gardai at her address.
Rita Hamisi, 51, with an address at 16 Waterfront Apartments, Portarlington was served with a book of evidence at Portlaoise District Court.
She faces two charges under Section 19 of the Criminal Justice Act in relation to an incident at her address on March 20, 2021.
Garda Sergeant Michael Tarpey told the court he served a book of evidence on the accused.
Sgt JJ Kirby said the director of prosecution had consented to the accused be sent forward to the next sittings of Portlaoise Circuit Court on June 13.
Judge Andrew Cody granted legal aid and remanded the accused on bail to appear at the next sittings of Portlaoise Circuit Court beginning on June 13.
