Laois gardai stopped a tow truck for being overweight earlier today.
“Laois Roads Policing Unit today stopped a small recovery truck carrying large SUV at a checkpoint in Cappakeel,” Gardai said on social media.
“This vehicle was suspected to be in excess of its maximum design weight. The vehicle was taken to a local designated weigh bridge where it was found to be 300 kgs overweight,” said Gardai.
“A €200 fine and penalty points were issued to the driver,” Gardai added.
