Laois Gardai say a disqualified driver was caught speeding while using a mobile phone.
Gardai stopped the driver and learned they were also disqualified.
“Laois Roads Policing Unit on patrol in Ballylinan Village this morning stopped this vehicle after it was detected travelling above the speed limit and the driver was observed holding a mobile phone,” Gardai said.
“Enquiries revealed the driver was also disqualified from driving. Driver arrested and charged to appear before Athy District Court. Vehicle seized,” they added.
