Ambulance service complained about illegally parked car in Portlaoise

An ambulance crew called gardai at 3am to alert them to an illegally parked car in Portlaoise, a sitting of Portlaoise District Court was told.

The car belonging to Sarah Moran, 34, of Trumera, Mountrath was parked on double yellow lines at Rathevan Heights, Portlaoise on November 15 last year.

Garda McCabe said the 211 Laois registered car was parked on double yellow lines and Gardai had received a complaint from the Ambulance Service.

She explained that the car was “blocking the area” and a ticket was issued but went unpaid. She said the woman had no previous convictions.

Judge Andrew Cody fined the woman €500 and gave her three months to pay.
