Laois Gardai seize two cars as Bank Holiday begins

Laois Gardai began their Bank Holiday weekend enforcement with the seizure of cars from two disqualified drivers. 

Gardai have appealed to motorists to be careful over the weekend as collisions are statistically proven to be more likely on Bank Holidays.

In response to the statistics, Gardai increase their activities on the road in order to ensure safe driving.  

“Laois Roads Policing Unit on patrol today took two more disqualified drivers off our roads at the beginning of the Bank Holiday weekend,” Gardai stated. 

Both drivers were arrested and have been charged to appear before Portlaoise District Court. 

The two cars were also seized, Gardai said.
