Laois Gardai arrested two people while policing the rail network on Monday.
Portlaoise Community Gardaí in conjunction with Iarnród Éireann Irish Rail staff carried out patrols on the rail network.
During the course of the patrols they discovered two individuals who were wanted by the courts.
“Several members of the public were searched under the Misuse of Drugs Act and two persons were arrested as a result of Bench Warrants,” Gardai said.
Gardai said the purpose of these patrols are to prevent antisocial behaviour and to engage with the public.
