A judge relaxed bail conditions on a man accused of handling stolen goods at Electric Picnic.
David Condon, 32, with an address at 32 Mountainview Square, Portlaoise appeared before a sitting of Portlaoise District Court.
He is accused of possessing a €500 stolen Gucci handbag, a €300 Apple earpods, a €390 black North Face mens jacket, a €300 Calvin Klein jacket and €90 Calvin Klein t-shirt along with cash amounting to €270, cigarettes valued at €155 and Nike air socks worth €26. The offences are alleged to have happened at the Electric Picnic on September 2 last.
Solicitor Barry Fitzgerald asked that the bail conditions be eased. He said the defendant is obeying a curfew between 8pm and 7pm. He asked that it be changed to 11pm to 7am.
Garda Sergeant JJ Kirby said he would prefer 10pm.
Judge Cody agreed to amend the bail conditions to include a curfew from 10pm to 7am.
Mr Fitzgerald said his client was anxious to have the case dealt with. He said it wasn’t very complex.
Judge Cody adjourned the matter back to Portlaoise District Court on December 7 for DPP directions.
