Laois Gardai are appealing for information following a burglary on Friday.
Gardai are seeking information in relation to suspicious activity. They are particularly interested in information in relation to a blue van which was seen acting suspiciously in the Timahoe area.
The burglary occurred at Knockarin, Timahoe at some time between 1.30pm and 7.30pm.
Gardai issue an appeal on social media.
“Burglary in Knockarin Timahoe yesterday sometime between 1.30pm and 7.30pm. Blue van seen acting susp in area at time. Any information to Portlaoise Garda Station on 057 8674100,” they stated.
Gardai announced details of the winter phase of Operation Thor recently. It is designed to target burglars who are taking advantage of the darker evenings.
While Gardai operate checkpoints and focus on burglary hotspots, they are also asking householders to take precautions.
