Gardaí arrested a driver and seized a car after stopping the vehicle in Laois.
An image of the seized Skoda Superb was posted on the Laois Offaly Gardaí social media on Monday.
“Laois Roads Policing Unit on patrol today in Portlaoise stopped another Disqualified Driver behind the wheel. Driver arrested and charged. Vehicle seized,” they stated.
It’s the latest in a number of cars the Laois Roads Policing Unit has seized from motorists in recent weeks.
Car seizures in Laois have risen following the use of a new Garda Mobility App, which among other things, can alert Gardai to the status of the vehicle’s insurance in real time.
