Allegedly had stolen designer goods at Electric Picnic

Gucchi, Kalvin Clein, Apple, Northface goods among items

A man who is accused of possessing stolen Gucchi, Calvin Klein and North Face goods at the Electric Picnic is to face trial. 

Kenneth Kelly, 36, of 22 O’Moore Place, Portlaoise is accused of being in possession of a €500 stolen Gucchi handbag, a €300 Calvin Klein coat, a €90 Calvin Klein T-Shirt and a man’s North Face jacket valued at €390 at Electric Picnic on September 2, 2023. 

He is further charged with possession of stolen apple earpods valued at €300, cigarettes valued at €100, a €50 Smash Rucksack, socks worth €26, cash sums of €155, €200, €20, €50 and assorted change. 

Garda Sergeant JJ Kirby said the DPP was seeking prosecution on indictment. He asked for around six weeks for the preparation of a book of evidence. 

Judge Nicola Andrews  adjourned the case back to Portlaoise District Court on April 8 for service of the book of evidence.
