Laois gardai leading investigation after gun is fired at house in Midlands
Laois gardaí are leading an investigation after a gun was fired at a house in Offaly over the weekend.
The frightening incident happened in Edenderry in the early hours of Sunday morning.
Gardai confirmed that officers in Portlaoise are now investigating "following reports of a firearm discharged at a property in Edenderry, Co Offaly in the early hours of Sunday morning, April 21."
A statement added: "Damage was caused to the property. No persons were injured during the course of the incident."
Crime scene investigators were back at the scene on Monday where officers were also seen searching nearby hedgerows for clues.
Gardai have said "investigations are ongoing at this time."
