Tractor and jeep reported stolen overnight in Laois

A tractor similar to that reported stolen in Derryguile, Mountmellick.

A tractor and a jeep have been reported as stolen from two farmyards overnight in Laois.

The jeep has been located in Portarlington but the public is being asked to contact Gardaí with any information or footage.

Mountmellick Rural Text Alert Group shared details of the thefts, which took place on Tuesday night, April 23 and was alerted to members of the The Rock Text Alert group.

"Red McCormick tractor stolen from farm yard in Derryguile, Mountmellick, last night, between 9pm and 6am. Registration 04 LS 195.

"Anyone with CCTV or noticed either of these vehicles when out and about during that time, please check your footage and make it available to Gardaí," they request.

Meanwhile a Navy Pajero Jeep was also reported as stolen from a farm yard in Brittas last night, registration 03Wh3116. It was described as being "in offroad condition".

It has seen been recovered in Portarlington.
