Gardaí were alerted to the car as the driver and front seat passenger weren't wearing seatbelts
Laois Gardaí seized a van and arrested the driver of a car in Laois.
Gardaí say a disqualified motorist was detected because the driver and front seat passenger weren’t wearing seatbelts.
“Laois Roads Policing Unit yesterday stopped a car in Portlaoise town as both occupants in the front seats were not wearing seat belts. The driver was then arrested after they were discovered to be disqualified from driving.
At a separate checkpoint a van was seized after it was found to be without insurance through the Garda Mobility App. Court proceedings commenced in both cases,” Gardaí said.
