Laois Gardaí seized three vehicles in the space of 24 hours over the weekend.
The Laois Roads Policing Unit said the cars were seized for "a variety of offences including no insurance".
"Court proceedings commenced in all cases," they said.
Gardaí will be ramping up checkpoints ahead of the June Bank Holiday weekend and will be making an appeal to drivers to slow down and never drive under the influence.
