Gardai have issued an alert over suspicous caller
Laois Gardaí are warning people to be cautious following suspicious calls at homes in the county
Gardaí in Abbeyleix are currently investigating reports of suspicious activity involving an individual calling to homes, offering to save residents money on energy bills in exchange for payments.
“In some cases, the sums requested are reported to be significantly high. The suspect is described as using a white Hyundai Tucson. We urge the public to be cautious and report any similar encounters or suspicious activity to gardaí immediately," gardaí said.
They have urged people not engage with the individual or provide any form of payment.
