Gardaí in Laois are investigating two burglaries that took place in Stradbally.
A quantity of cash is believed to have been taken during one of the break ins at a property in Brockley Park on Friday, November 15.
"Gardaí attended the scene following a report of an incident of burglary at a residence in Stradbally, Co. Laois, on the evening of Friday 15th November 2024. Investigations are ongoing," said a garda spokesperson. "Separately: Gardaí attended the scene following a report of an incident of burglary at a residence in Stradbally, Co. Laois, on the evening of Friday 15th November 2024. A quantity of cash is believed to have been taken. Investigations are ongoing."
Stradbally Noticeboard also shared a post urging residents to be vigilant.
"On Friday 15th Nov 2024 two burglaries occurred in Brockley park between 17.30 and 21.00. A male dressed in dark clothing with his face covered was observed after 19.00 hrs. If anyone seen anything persons or vehicles acting suspiciously during this time, they can contact the detective branch in Portlaoise confidentially on 0578674134," the social media post said.
"Also, Gardai at Stradbally would urge people to take measures to secure their property, especially at this time of year. Any vehicles or persons that are acting suspiciously in the area, please contact Gardai immediately on 0578674100."
