Laois Gardaí urge people to remain vigilant following car thefts in Laois

A car was stolen in Portlaoise, with several attempted car thefts occuring in the same area on Friday

Gardaí investigate spate of car thefts in Thomastown

Car owners are advised to ensure that their vehicles are locked securely following the theft of a silver Nissan March from Portlaoise.

On Friday January 10 at approximately 4am, the vehicle was stolen from a house in Aspen Way, Portlaoise.

There were similarly two other attempted car thefts in Portlaoise at 1am that same night.

Cars in The Drive and Rinuccini Court were tampered with.

Gardaí in Portlaoise have appealed for any witnesses to come forward with information.

Gardaí remind the public to avoid storing their valuables in their vehicles, to ensure your vehicle is locked, alarmed and parked safely, and to always report suspicious activity to Gardaí.

In urgent cases, at 999 or 112.
