Laois Offaly Gardaí arrest two people in connection with thefts from vehicles

The pair were arrested on Friday

Gardaí issue appeal after house ransacked during burglary in the Midlands

Laois Offaly Gardaí arrested two people who were suspected of stealing from vehicles. 

They were arrested in connection to thefts from vehicles in Birr, Co Offlay. 

“Yesterday, a number of thefts from motor vehicles and interference with a vehicle mechanisms were reported in Birr.  

Good news! Two individuals have been arrested and charged in connection with these crimes,” Gardaí said in an online post.

They issued advice to drivers to always lock cars, .never leave valuables on display, park in well-lit, busy areas or secure car parks,  use additional security measures like steering locks or alarms and to report suspicious activity immediately to Gardaí.

Anyone with information regarding crime is asked to contact their Garda Station  or the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111.
