Portlaoise Courthouse
A woman has been ordered to stay out of licence premises in Portlaoise.
Margaret Joyce (23) of 133 Rathin, Mullingar, Co Westmeath is accused of violent disorder at the Welcome Inn, Market Square, Portlaoise on August 10, 2024.
Garda Aidan Ryan said the accused made no reply when charged with the offence. He said bail terms had been agreed.
Garda Sergeant JJ Kirby said there were a number of co-accused in the case. He said the DPP had directed that the prosecution proceed on indictment.
Judge Susan Fay remanded the defendant on bail with conditions, including that she stay out of all public houses in Portlaoise.
She granted legal aid and adjourned the case to Portlaoise District Court on April 7, 2025.
