Accused of having drugs for sale or supply in Laois

Portlaoise District Court

A man appeared in court accused of possessing drugs for sale or supply in Mountmellick. 

Robbie Flynn (28) of 22 Cullenbeg Park, Mountmellick is accused of possessing cocaine and cannabis for sale or supply and obstruction at his address on February 6, 2025. 

He is further charged with possessing cannabis for sale or supply at Cloonagh, Mountmellick on August 26, 2024. 

He appeared before Portlaoise District Court via videolink. Solicitor Barry Fitzgerald said the defendant has been given consent to bail but he isn’t in a position to take it up at  present. 

Mr Fitzgerald said directions from the DPP are awaited in the case. 

Judge Susan Fay remanded the defendant in custody to appear again before Portlaoise District Court on March 24.
