Laois Gardaí seized a car with front tyres so bald there was wire exposed.
Gardaí stopped the car at a checkpoint in Mountmellick where they discovered a number of serious issues.
“Laois Roads Policing Unit conducting a checkpoint in Mountmellick this evening stopped this vehicle with no insurance and a NCT that expired in 2023. Both front tyres were so worn that the internal wires were visible,” gardaí said in an online post.
They said the vehicle has been seized and court proceedings have now commenced against the driver.
