Investigation into theft of power tool from Laois business

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses of the incident

Customer steals tool worth €650 from Laois garage

Laois Gardaí are investigating a theft that took place in Rathdowney on Thursday.

The incident occurred at Rathdowney Quick Fit on Thursday May 8, where a Milwaukee Impact Drill to the value of €650 was taken from the shop. 

The theft occurred at approximately 4pm. Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses that were in the area at the time.

The business have taken to social media with footage of the incident, and have appealed for anyone with information to come forward.

"The absolute toerag in the attached pictures came into the garage today to get a price on some tyres (apparently)," the business posted to social media.

"While walking back to his car he helped himself to one of our Milwaukee impact guns."

Laois Gardaí have said that no suspect has been identified at present.

Those with information are advised to contact Rathdowney Garda station.
