Motorbike seized after driver caught doing 168kph in Laois

Gardaí seized a motorcycle which was detected travelling at 168kph in Laois at the weekend. 

The biker was stopped  on the M7 motorway in Laois on Saturday. Garda then discovered the bike was untaxed and the driver was a learner.  

“Laois Roads Policing Unit stopped this motorcycle after detecting it speeding on the M7 today," Gardaí stated on Saturday. 

"The tax was expired 197 days and the driver a Learner Permit holder. The vehicle was seized and court proceedings commenced against the driver,” Gardaí said.
