Laois gardaí seized a car and a quantity of drugs from a motorist who tried to avoid a checkpoint.
“Laois Roads Policing Unit arrested the driver of this vehicle which attempted to avoid a Garda checkpoint. The driver tested positive for presence of cannabis in oral fluid,” gardaí revealed.
Things went from bad to worse for the motorist as gardaí continued their checks.
“They were also a learner permit holder and did not have insurance. A small quantity of cannabis was found in the vehicle which was seized,” gardaí added.
