Car stolen on Portarlington at the weekend

Gardaí are appealing for information following the theft of a car in Portarlington at the weekend.

The bright pink Toyota Vitz car was stolen from outside a house at Shandra Woods, Gracefield, Portarlington at around 3.30am on the morning of Saturday, June 1.

The owner of the car was recovered but was not in a ‘driveable’ condition. She said the loss of the car has caused her difficulty in getting to work, bringing her kids to playschool and to their grandmother’s house. The car is believed to have been driven around Portarlington after it was stolen.

Anyone with CCTV or dashcam footage or information is asked to contact Portlaoise Garda Station on 057 867 4100 or the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111.

Meanwhile, Gardaí are again urging people to follow crime prevention advice in relation to vehicles.
