A court was told a man was caught with drugs at Electric Picnic on two consecutive days.

Joshua Patrick Nolan (20) of 16 Verschoyle Vale, Tallaght, Dublin 24 admitted having drugs for personal use on August 16 last and also having drugs for sale or supply a day later on August 17, 2024.

Andrew Dunne BL said his client had brought €2,500 to court for the poor box. He said the two summonses had split and the defendant had appeared in court on an earlier date.

“He was caught twice at Electric Picnic?” asked Judge Andrew Cody.

Mr Dunne confirmed that the man had been caught twice but he said the total value of the drugs was less than €500. He had no previous convictions.

Judge Cody accepted the court box payment and struck out the summonses. He warned the defendant that although the issue was struck out it could be mentioned again in the event of any future prosecution.
