Proactive 'Hospital Watch' crime fighting iniative launched at Portlaoise Hospital

A Hospital Watch initiative has been Launched at the Midlands Regional Hospital Portlaoise.

An Garda Síochána Laois has partnered with the Midland Regional Hospital Portlaoise on the launch of Hospital Watch—a proactive crime prevention initiative to enhance safety for staff, patients, and visitors at the hospital.

“Modelled on Neighbourhood Watch, this programme promotes vigilance, awareness, and collaboration within the hospital community. Gardaí will work closely with hospital staff to prevent crime and build a safer, more secure environment for all.

Together, we’re committed to protecting those who care for others,” gardai said.
