Laois Gardaí had some advice for a motorist who drove a stolen BMW to Electric Picnic.

Gardaí said the stolen car was being driven by a learner permit holder who was the subject  of a bench warrant.

They also discovered that the passenger was in possession of cannabis.

“If this was a festival line-up, it’d be the Comedy Tent,” Laois Gardaí said.

They seized the car and arrested the driver.

“Pro tip: If you’re trying to blend in at Electric Picnic… don’t bring a stolen car to the party,” Gardaí advised.

They said the driver will now have to make an appearance at Portlaoise District Court.
