A man appeared in court accused of burgling a shop in Portlaoise. 

Andrew Conroy(55) of 207 St Brigid’s Place, Portlaoise, is accused of burglary at Bosco’s Newsagent, Mountrath Road on August  9, 2025. He is further accused of trespass at an address at Market Square, Portlaoise, on August 3, 10 and 11, 2025. 

Solicitor Philip Meagher said there was no State objection to the matter being adjourned to Portlaoise District Court on October 13. He also applied to have the defendant’s address changed from Hynds Square, Portlaoise to 207 St Brigid’s Place, Portlaoise.
