Naas General Hospital
Gardaí are appealing for witnesses following a serious assault that occurred in Kildare town in the early hours of Sunday, October 26, 2025.
A male, aged in his 20's, was found unresponsive on McGee Terrace at approximately 3:15am and was subsequently brought to Naas General Hospital, where he remains in a serious condition.

It's understood the young man, who is believed to be from Laois, was attacked by a group of youths following an incident on a bus earlier in the evening.
Reported in the Irish Mirror on Wednesday, it's understood the man had politely asked the group of youths on the bus to be quiet.
There has been no reported violence on the bus itself, and the man got off at a stop in Kildare town. The group of youths got off at a different stop. It's claimed that the man was later attacked the town by the same group where he sustained serious head injuries.
It's believed Gardaí have already spoken to some young people who were in the are at the time of the attack, but no arrests have been made as of yet.

Gardaí have said the scene is currently preserved for technical examination and they are appealing to anyone with information in relation to this incident including any road users who were in the area between 2:00am and 4:00am and who may have video footage (including dash-cam) are asked to make this footage available to investigating Gardaí.
