Man accused of burglary at Portlaoise Train Station

A man appeared in court accused of burglary at Portlaoise Train Station. 

John O’Shea (34) of 20 O’Moore Place, Portlaoise,  is accused of burglary and causing criminal damage at the Bloom Coffee Box on September 4, 2025. 

Garda David O’Byrne said he charged the defendant who he said made no reply after caution. 

Garda Sergeant JJ Kirby said the case was to proceed on indictment meaning it will be sent to the circuit court. 

Judge Andrew Cody adjourned the case back to Portlaoise District Court on February 9 for service of the book of evidence.
