Portlaoise District Court

A woman appeared in court accused of money laundering in Laois. 

Ava Malone (24) of 1 Oak Glen, Stradbally, is accused of money laundering the sum of €1,433 in Laois on June 28, 2024. 

Garda Sergeant JJ Kirby said it related to “a transaction of €1,433 from a bank account. One of these phishing scams”.

Judge Andrew Cody granted legal aid and adjourned the case back to Portlaoise District Court on January  12.
