Woman accused of assault over bite in Laois

The incident allegedly happened in Portlaoise

A  woman appeared in court accused of biting another person in Laois. 

Aoife Enright (39) of 15 Colliers Court, Portlaoise is accused of assault causing harm at Lyster Square, Portlaoise on May 30 last. 

Garda Sergeant JJ Kirby showed Judge Andrew Cody pictures of the alleged injury. 

“There was an alleged bite, it scratched the surface,”  he said. 

Judge Cody accepted jurisdiction and ordered disclosure in the case.

He granted legal aid to Solicitor Barry Fitzgerald and adjourned the case back to Portlaoise District Court on January 12.
