Gardaí said they have put an ‘illegal mobile pharmacy’ out of business following a traffic stop in Laois

Laois Roads Policing Unit seized drugs and arrested the driver as a result of a traffic stop.

“While on patrol in Borris-in-Ossory, Laois RPU had their attention drawn to a van in such a poor state of repair it stood out before it even moved.

Things didn’t improve when this driver carried out an illegal U-turn, cutting off another road user in the process,” Laois Gardaí said on social media.

They said “the situation quickly went from bad to worse” for the driver after the van was pulled over.

According to Gardaí, the driver was an unaccompanied learner who was high on cocaine and cannabis and had no insurance or certificate of roadworthiness.
