Man barred from supermarkets and fillings stations

Man due in Portlaoise court over knifepoint robbery in Laois

Portlaoise District Court

A man appeared before Portlaoise District Court charged with theft and assault in Offaly. 

James Gonoude, 33, of 107 O’Molloy Street, Tullamore, Co Offaly is charged with assault and theft of €350 cash from Applegreen Service Station, Main Street, Tullamore on December 14. 

He is charged with assault and theft of €150 cash from Lidl, Main Street, Tullamore on the same date and assault and theft of €80 cash from Dunnes Stores, Bridge Centre, Tullamore on the same date. 

Judge Andrew Cody granted him bail on strict conditions including that he stay out of all supermarkets and filling stations everywhere. 

He remanded the man on bail to appear before Tullamore District Court on Wednesday, December 21.
