Portlaoise District Court
A woman is to face trial over alleged money laundering in Laois.
Vicki Mangala, 21, of 61 Rinuccini, Dublin Road, Portlaoise is charged with money laundering over a sum of €10,482.86 at the Allied Irish Bank in Portlaoise on December 13, 2019.
Gardai Keith Hartnett served a copy of the Book of Evidence on the accused at a sitting of Portlaoise District Court.
Sgt JJ Kirby said the DPP had directed that the woman be sent forward to the next sitting of Portlaoise Circuit Court on February 7.
Solicitor Philip Meagher applied for legal aid to include one barrister.
Judge Andrew Cody granted legal aid and sent the case forward to the next sittings of Portlaoise Circuit Court sitting on February 7.
