Cocaine, ecstasy and other drugs sold to undercover Laois Offaly Gardaí

Laois Offaly Gardaí have charged 14 people with the sale and supply of cocaine, ecstasy and other drugs as part of an undercover operation run over a number of months.
In total, 3 females and 11 males, were arrested and charged with drug offences as part of an ongoing operation by Gardaí into the sale and supply of controlled substances
Over the last number of months Gardaí from Birr and Tullamore, assisted by Gardaí from DOCB and the Laois/Offaly Divisional Drugs Unit, were involved in an operation whereby drugs, namely Cocaine, speed, MDMA (ecstasy) and Cannabis were sold to undercover Gardaí.
During follow up searches Gardaí seized further controlled substances, cash and items of evidential value.
All 14 will appear before Tullamore District Court at 10.30am on the February 28. They were charged with offences under the Misuse of Drugs Act 1977/84 as amended.
