Man arrested as gardai seize €60,000 worth of cocaine in Carlow

An estimated €60,000 worth of cocaine has been seized in Carlow Town and a man in his 30s has been arrested.

The illegal drugs which are pending analysis were seized by gardai on Wednesday, November 28.

The drugs were discovered during the search of a house yesterday evening by members from Kilkenny/Carlow Divisional Drugs Unit based at Carlow supported by members from Carlow Garda Station.

The man is currently being held at Carlow Garda Station under the provisions of Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act.

The investigation is ongoing.
