Portarlington woman charged with cocaine sale

A Portarlington woman has been sent forward to the circuit court charged with having cocaine for sale or supply.

At a recent sitting of the district court in Portlaoise was Yvonne Loonan (40), with an address at 89 Riverside, Portarlington.

She was charged with drug possession, and having drugs for sale or supply, on March 15 this year.

Garda Donal Cahill gave evidence that he served a book of evidence on the accused.

The matter was sent forward to the next sitting of Portlaoise Circuit Court on December 4 next.

Defence is local solicitor, Ms Josephine Fitzpatrick, with one junior counsel assigned.

Defence was granted a section 56 order in the case.
