Burglary in Portlaoise leaves elderly man hospitalised

Laois Gardaí are seeking the public's help with a burglary in Portlaoise which has left an elderly man hospitalised.

Gardaí say they are investigating the aggravated burglary which occurred on the evening of the Saturday, March 16 at St Brigid’s Place in the town.

The victim is an elderly male and is currently in hospital receiving treatment for his injuries which are not life-threatening.

Gardai are appealing for anyone who may have information in relation to this crime to contact them or for anyone who was in the St Brigid’s Place area between the hours of 9pm and 11pm who noticed anything suspicious or unusual.
