John Bosco Grant - Colt

The death took place on Sunday, January 29 of John Bosco Grant of Colt, Raheen. 

Peacefully, surrounded by his loving family and friends after an illness bravely borne. Predeceased by his dad P.J.. Loving father to sons Dylan and Callum, grandfather to Sarah Rose and Logan, beloved son of his heartbroken mother Kathleen, brother to P.J. Martin, Cathal, Carl, Michael, Sheila, Nicola, Cathariona and Annette, brother-in-law to Geraldine, Deirdre, Lisa, Tommy, Enda and John. Deeply regretted by his loving nephews, nieces, uncles, aunts, many cousins and valued circle of friends.

Reposing at his home in Colt, (R32K2K3) on Monday evening from 3pm with Rosary at 8pm. Removal on Tuesday evening 6.30pm to St. Fintan’s Church Raheen, arriving for 7pm. (House private on Tuesday evening from 5.30pm)

Requiem Mass on Wednesday at 12 noon, followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.

Patrick Walsh - Ballaghmore

The death took place on Saturday, January 28 of Patrick (Paddy) Walsh of Lacka, Ballaghmore. 

In the loving care of his son Gearoid, following an illness bravely borne. Predeceased by his parents Patrick and Kathleen and his wife Mary. He will be sadly missed by his son Gearoid, sisters Theresa (Delahunty) and Bridie (Kearney) his brothers in law Frank Delahunty and John Kearney, his sister in law Nellie Duncan, his nephews Ian and Alan Kearney and their families, his grandnephew Darragh Kearney, grandnieces Ciara and Ailbhe Kearney, cousins, relatives, neighbours and wide circle of friends.

Reposing in Doyle's Funeral Home Roscrea E53 RX08 on Tuesday 31st January from 6pm to 8pm. Removal from Doyle's Funeral Home on Wednesday morning at 9.30am to arrive at St Molua's Church, Ballaghmore for requiem Mass at 10am followed by burial in the family plot in the adjoining cemetery.

Peter Carroll - Ballaghmore

The death took place on Saturday, January 28 of Peter Carroll of 11 Mill Street, Birr and formerly of Ballaghmore.

Peacefully, in Midlands Regional Hospital Tullamore. Predeceased by his parents Joe and Mary, his brothers Joe and Liam and his sister Nora. Deeply regretted by his brother Paddy, sisters Nancy, Mary, Agnes and Helen. Brother in law Tom, sisters in law Teresa and Frances, nieces and nephews, neighbours and many friends.

Reposing in Doyle's Funeral Home, Roscrea E53 RX08, on Monday 30th January from 6pm to 8pm.

Removal from Doyle's Funeral Home Tuesday morning at 11.30am to arrive in Ballaghmore Church for funeral Mass at 12 noon. Burial afterwards in adjoining cemetery.

Wesley Dempsey - Portarlington

The death took place on Saturday, January 28 of Wesley Dempsey of
Corrig, Portarlington.

Peacefully  in the care of the Palliative team at Tullamore Hospital. He will be deeply missed by his loving wife Noelle, his daughters Siobhan, Fiona and Sinead, grandchildren Jessica, Henry and Paddy, brother Richard, sisters Sheila and Edith, sons-in-law Giles, Colm and Trevor, step-children Jonathan, Kate and Simon, nephews, nieces, relatives, a wide circle of friends and neighbours.

Reposing at his residence (eircode R32 T2D1) on Monday evening 30th January from 3pm until 7pm. Removal on Tuesday 31st January at 12:15pm arriving St Paul's Church Portarlington for Funeral Service at 1pm.

Burial afterwards in St Mary's Churchyard, Geashill Village. House private on Sunday and Tuesday morning.

Denis Dowling - Camross

The death took place on Friday, January 27 of Denis (Dinny) Dowling of Longford, Camross.

Unexpectedly. Predeceased by his beloved daughter Elizabeth, parents John and Mary, siblings Mick, Ann, Paddy and Fint. Deeply regretted by his loving wife Sarah, and father to Mary Theresa (Burke), Margaret, Paraic, Sean, Francis, Donnacha and Oliver, sister Rita (Higgins), grandchildren, Sarah, Aoife, Mark, Tadhg, Shane, Eoin, Dean, Leanne, Fionn, Oisín, Aaron, Eva, Amy, Craig, Lukas, Cayden, Lauren and Rhys, nieces, nephews, son-in-law Seamus, daughters-in-law Ann, Marie, Irene and Erika, aunts, uncle, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at Burke’s Funeral Home Mountrath this Monday evening from 6pm with Rosary at 9pm. Removal on Tuesday evening to St. Fergal’s Church Camross arriving at 8.15pm (via Longford). Requiem Mass on Wednesday afternoon at 2pm, followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.

Eilish O’Hara - Mountrath

The death took place on Friday, January 27 of Eilish O’Hara (née Culleton) of
Patrick Street, Mountrath and formerly of Cummer Camross.

Peacefully surrounded by her loving family at Tallaght University Hospital. Beloved wife of the late Sean and predeceased by her brothers and sisters Dan, Lar, Molly (Deegan) and Josie. Sadly missed by her sons Michael, PJ, Colm and daughter Elizabeth. Daughters in law Olive, Liz & Sara. Grandchildren, great-grandchildren, sisters in law, brother in law, nieces, nephews and her large circle of friends.

Reposing at Guilfoyles Funeral Home Castletown,(EirCode R32 TN84) this Sunday (29th) from 6.30 pm with prayers at 8pm. Removal on Monday morning to St. Fintan's Church Mountrath for 10.00 am Mass. Followed by burial in St. Fintan's Cemetery Mountrath. House private at all times. 

Edmond Moynan - Durrow

The death took place on Friday, January 27 of Edmond Moynan of Knocknagrally, Durrow.

Peacefully at the Midlands General Hospital Portlaoise. Beloved husband of Elizabeth. Deeply regretted by his loving wife, children June, Ian, Norman, Winston, Philip, Rachel and Wesley, sister Winnie, daughters in law, sons in law, sisters in law, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives neighbours and friends.

Reposing at his residence from 2 to 8pm on Sunday. Removal to St Fintan's Church, Durrow on Monday afternoon for Funeral Service at 2.30pm. Burial immediately afterwards in Killermogh Churchyard. Louise O'Reilly - Mountrath

The death took place on Wednesday, January 25 of Louise O'Reilly of New Line Close, Mountrath and formerly of Bullock Park, Carlow.

Unexpectedly, at her home.Beloved mother of Adam, Tom and Elliott, much loved daughter of Tony and the late Colette, cherished sister of Susan and Tony Jnr and treasured partner of Ambrose. She will be sadly missed by her loving sons, father, brother, sister, brother-in- law Ciarán, Tony’s partner Darina, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

Reposing at Carpenter Bros Funeral Home, Graiguecullen on Monday, January 30th, from 6pm, concluding with Prayers at 8.30pm. Removal on Tuesday, January 31st, at 10.45am to St. Clare’s Church, Graiguecullen arriving for Funeral Mass at 11am. Burial immediately afterwards in Sleaty New Cemetery.
