Jerry Lalor - Stradbally

The death took place on Tuesday, April 11 of Jerry (Jeremiah) Lalor of 12 Ash Trees, Stradbally. 

Peacefully surrounded by his family. Predeceased by his loving wife, Margaret. Sadly missed by his son, Michael, brothers Tom, Séamus, Paddy and Larry, daughter-in-law, Natascha, grand-daughter Jessica, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and his many friends.

Reposing at his home on Thursday 13th from 6pm until 8pm with Rosary at 8pm. Requiem Mass on Friday 14th at 11am in the Church of the Sacred Heart, Stradbally. Interment to follow in Oakvale Cemetery.

Margaret  Maguire - Mountrath

The death took place on Tuesday, April 11 of Margaret (Peg) Maguire (née Pattison) of New Line Road, Mountrath.

Peacefully in the presence of her loving family. Beloved wife of Joe, loving mother of Gerard, Annette, Julie, Shirley, David and Karen, daughters-in-law Linda and Dearbhla, son-in-law Trevor, grandchildren Seán, Bróna, Tadg, Fionn, Fey and Calum. Deeply regretted by her family, extended family, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at her home New Line Road (eircode R32E763) on Thursday afternoon from 2pm with Removal at 7.30pm to St. Fintan’s Church Mountrath, arriving at 8pm. Requiem Mass on Friday morning at 10am followed by Burial in St. Fintan’s Cemetery, Mountrath.

Victor Hamilton - Mountrath

The death took place on Tuesday, April 11 of Victor Hamilton of Foxrock, Dublin and Mountrath. 

Peacefully in the care of St. Vincent's Hospital. Loving husband and will be sadly missed by his wife Jackie. The best father to Natasha, Andrew, Claire and Paul. And loved dearly by his sons-in-law and daughters-in-law, eight grandchildren, three sisters, wider family and friends, who were so important to him.

Funeral Service will take place at 10.30am this Saturday, April 15th, in Tullow Parish Church, Brighton Road, Carrickmines, D18 RF79 followed by private cremation. The Service will be streamed using the following link: https://www.churchservices.tv/tullowcarrickmines. 

Mary Howard - Portlaoise

The death took place on Tuesday, April 11 of Mary Howard (née Guilfoyle) of Kildoon, Nurney, Kildare, and formerlly of Pallas, Portlaoise.

Peacefully in the care of the staff at CloverLodge Nursing Home, Athy, surrounded by her loving family. Sadly missed by her loving husband Matthew, son Paul, daughter Jane, son-in-law Kevin, daughter-in-law Sheila, grandchildren Cliona, Lorna, Sinead , Claire, Caoimhe, Anne and James, brother-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at her family home (R56 ET99) from 3pm on Wednesday with Rosary at 7pm. Removal by Glennons Funeral Directors on Thursday to arrive at The Church of The Sacred Heart, Nurney for Requiem Mass at 2:30pm. Burial afterwards in St. Brigids Cemetery, Nurney. 

Martin Moore - Durrow

The death took place on Sunday, April 9 of Martin Moore of Tullynally, Castlepollard, Westmeath, N91 H393 and formerly of Tubberboe, Durrow.

Peacefully at his home. Predeceased by his parents Tom and Margaret Moore. Much loved brother of Ailish, Geraldine and Annmarie. Sadly missed by his nieces and nephew, brothers in law, aunts, cousins, and those in the wider community. Martin will be fondly remembered by all those that knew him and worked with him over the years.

Martin will be reposing at his home in Tullynally, Castlepollard (N91 H393) on Thursday, April 13th from 4pm until 8pm. Removal to the Church of the Holy Trinity, Durrow (R32 CK11) on Friday, April 14th, arriving for 1pm Funeral Mass, with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. House private on Friday morning please.

Dan Fitzpatrick - Portlaoise

The death took place on Friday, April 7 of Dan Fitzpatrick of Ballydavis North, Portlaoise. 

Peacefully at his residence. In his 97th year. Deeply regretted by his nephews, nieces, cousins, great neighbours and friends.

Reposing at David and Laura Cooke's residence (R32WC53) .Old Road Ballydavis on Wednesday evening from 5pm with rosary at 8pm. Removal on Thursday morning to arrive at The Church of the Assumption, The Heath for 11am requiem Mass. It may be viewed on https://www.portlaoiseparish.ie/the-heath-webcam/. Burial will take place afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Jo Rice - Portlaoise

The death took place on Sunday, April 9 of Jo Rice of Drummin Village and Lisboney, Nenagh, Tipperary and late of Abbeyleix Road, Portlaoise.

Suddenly at home. Will be sadly missed by her loving daughter Chloe and parents Clement and Suzan, sisters Debbie and Samantha and brothers Damien, Carl and Colin, aunts, uncles, nephews and nieces, cousins, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at Ryans Funeral Home, Nenagh this Thursday from 6pm to 7pm. Her remains will arrive at St. Mary's of the Rosary Church, Nenagh on Friday for her Requiem mass at 11am. Livestream of this Mass can be viewed on nenaghparish.ie followed by private Cremation. 

David Brown - Portlaoise

The death took place on Sunday, April 9 of David Brown of Heathfields, Dublin Road, Portlaoise.

Died tragically following an accident on Easter Sunday. Aged 15. Deeply regretted by his devastated and heartbroken parents, James and Carmel (nee Maloney Vicarstown), big brother Conor, and little sister Princess Sarah, uncles, aunts, cousins and his many friends in Portlaoise GAA, Laois GAA, St Marys CBS and The Heath National School. David will repose at home.

Reposing at his residence, 5 Heathfields, Dublin Road, Portlaoise R32 KN9F Wednesday and Thursday from 3pm to 8pm. Recital of the Rosary on Thursday at 8pm. Removal to Sts Peter and Paul’s Church, Portlaoise on Friday morning at 11.15 am for 12pm Requiem Mass. James Jnr. Nicholl - Portarlington

The death took place on Friday, April 7 of James Jnr. Nicholl of The Glen, Kilnacourt Wood, Portarlington, and late of Brownstown, The Curragh, Co Kildare.

Sadly missed by his loving family; his parents Noreen and Jimmy, sisters and brother and extended family.

Maureen Linehan - Shanahoe

The death took place on Friday, March 10 of Maureen Linehan (née Kirwan) of Canada and formerly of Shanahoe.

Predeceased by her parents William and Elizabeth, nephew Enda. Deeply regretted and will be sadly missed by her son Eamonn, daughter Deirdre, sister Betty (Cashin), brother Liam, aunt Annie kirwan, son in law, daughter in law, two grandchildren, brother in law Tom, sister in law Vivienne, niece, nephews, extended family, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Maureen's memorial Mass will be on Sunday, April 16 at 12 noon in St. Brigid's Church Shanahoe.
