Blanche Cooper (née Stanley) - Dublin/Stradbally 

The death has occurred of Blanche Cooper (née Stanley), Blackrock, formerly Templeogue, Co Dublin and Stradbally, Co. Laois. Blanche passed away peacefully, in her 92nd year, in the excellent care of Four Ferns Nursing Home, Foxrock. Beloved wife of the late Leslie, much loved and devoted mother of Twila, Daryl, Bill and Colleen and loving mother-in-law. Adored gran of Murray, Simon, Katie, Rebecca, Daniel, Ben, Robyn, Emily, Adam and Shona and great grandmother of Louie. Sister of the late Jan, Bill and Bert. She will be fondly remembered by family and friends.

Thanksgiving Service on Monday (February 10th) at 10:30am in Kill o' the Grange Parish Church, A94 FC80 followed by cremation in Mount Jerome Crematorium Chapel, Harold's Cross, Dublin 6W. Family flowers only please. Donations, if desired, online to the Simon Community (www.Simon.ie)

Eileen Connell (née Cooke) - Portlaoise/Newry 

The death occurred of Eileen Connell (née Cooke), Portlaoise and Newry on  February 6 peacefully surrounded by her loving family. Beloved wife of the late Michael R.I.P., devoted mother of Roisin, Brendan and Kevin and treasured sister of James and the late Mary, Dan, Sean and Eddie R.I.P.

Her remains will repose at her late residence 4 Beechmount Park, Newry on Friday for family only and on Saturday and Sunday from 12noon until 8pm for anyone wishing to pay their respects. Requiem Mass for Eileen will be celebrated on Monday at 12.30pm in St. Catherine’s Church, Dominic Street, burial afterwards in St. Mary’s cemetery.

Deeply regretted and sadly missed by her sons, daughter, daughters-in-law Roisin and Sian, grandchildren Caoimhe, Aine, Michael, Daniel, Christian, Darcey and Anne, also her brother, nieces, nephews and the entire family circle. House private on morning of funeral.

John Duffy - Rosenallis

The death has occurred of John Duffy Capard, Rosenallis, Laois formerly of Emo Park and Balally, Dundrum, Dublin on  February 5 surrounded by his loving family at home.

Predeceased by his parents Terry and Kathleen and brother Colm.

Deeply regretted by his wife Muireann, children Doireann, Rossa and Maebh Áine, sisters Catherine Murphy, Helen Metcalfe, Aunt Marjorie, brothers in law, niece and nephews, neighbours, friends and work colleagues at Emo Court.

Reposing at his home, R32 W923 on Friday from 5pm to 7pm. Removal from his home on Saturday 8th February, arriving at Glasnevin Crematorium for service at 11:30am.

Gerard (Patrick) Lowry - Stradbally

The death has occurred of Gerard (Patrick) Lowry, Munny, Stradbally, Laois on February 3 unexpectedly.

Deeply regretted by his brothers John and Jim, sisters-in-law Anne and Mary, nephews Eoin and James, nieces Patricia, Mairéad, Amanda and Michelle, grandnieces, grandnephews, cousins, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at his residence (R32 TD77) on Friday February 7th from 4pm till 8pm with rosary at 7pm. Removal on Saturday to the Church of the Sacred Heart, Stradbally for 11am requiem mass. Interment immediately afterwards in Ratheniska Cemetery.
