The death took place on Sunday, February 9 of James (Jimmy) Fitzpatrick, Churchfield Heights, Castletown, Co. Laois and formerly of Ballybrophy, Co. Laois and the UK.
Passed away peacefully at Midlands Regional Hospital, Portlaoise.
Predeceased by his parents, brother Charles & his wife Celia.
Deeply regretted by his son Stephen, daughter Anne-Marie, daughter in law Mel, Anne-Marie's partner Steve, adored grandchildren Jamie, Connor, Matthew, Caitlin & Eden, his adored great grandchild Teddy, sister Mary (Campion), brother in law Jimmy, niece Caroline, nephews James, Lawrence, Paul and Richard, his partner Joan, extended family, cousins, relatives, neighbours and friends.

John Hearns - Portlaoise
The death took place on February 8 of John Hearns of Hillview, Portlaoise.
Died peacefully, surrounded by his loving family and in the tender care of the doctors, nurses and staff of Portlaoise Hospital.
Predeceased by his sister Mary.
Sadly missed by his loving wife Kathleen, his sisters Christine, Sheila, Margaret, Kathleen and his brother Michael, sisters-in-law Nora, Mary and brother-in-law Tommy, his cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Reposed in Keegan’s Funeral Home Portlaoise on Sunday from 4pm to 5.30pm, pausing for The Rosary at 5pm.
Reposed on Monday morning from 10am. Removal at 10.30am to St.Fintan’s Church Ballyfin via Pallas for Requiem Mass at 11am. Burial after in St. Fintans Cemetery Ballyfin.
Patrick Corcoran - Rosenallis
The death took place on February 8 of Patrick (Pat) Corcoran, Cattle Dealer, Shanbeg, Rosenallis, Co Laois.
Died at home, surrounded by his devoted family.
Sadly missed by his wife Anne, children Edel (Lynch), James, Brendan, Patrick, Teresa, Anne Marie (Buggy), Marese (Munnelly) & Breda (Leacy), his brother Alo and his sister Anne Usher, all his 22 treasured grandchildren, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and a wide circle of friends.
Reposed in his home on Sunday 9 with Rosary at 8pm and all day Monday with Rosary at 8pm. Removal on Tuesday morning at 11am to St. Brigid's Church Rosenallis for Requiem Mass at 12 noon. Burial after in St. Brigid's Cemetery.
Mary McRedmond - Clonaslee
The death took place on February 7 of Mary (Mollie) McRedmond, (née Kane), Chapel Street, Clonaslee, Co. Laois.
Died peacefully in the loving care of the staff at The Residence Nursing Home, Portlaoise, Co. Laois, with her daughter Mary by her side.
Predeceased by her beloved husband Blaise & her brother John.
Dearly loved mother of Mary, Linda & Yvonne. Mollie will be sadly missed by her grandchildren Jeffrey, Charlotte, Daniel & Jamie, her 3 great-grandchildren, son-in-law Niall, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, great neighbours and friends.
Funeral Mass on Monday the 10th of February at 12 noon,in St Manman's Church, Clonaslee, with burial afterwards in St. Manman's cemetery Clonaslee.
Elizabeth O'Connell - Stradbally
The death took place on February 8 of Elizabeth (Lil) O'Connell (née Murphy), Lucan, Co. Dublin and formerly of Stradbally, Co. Laois.
Passed away peacefully at Connolly Hospital with her family by her side. Predeceased by her sister Bridie and brother John. Beloved wife of the late Jeremiah (Jerry), much loved mother of Marguerite, Niall and Jerome and devoted grandmother to Aaron, Connor, Ciara and Nathan. Will be very sadly missed by her daughter, sons, grandchildren, son-in-law Malachy, daughter-in-law Samantha, sister-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family, friends and neighbours.
Reposing at Cunningham’s Funeral Home, Lucan on Monday evening February 10 between 5pm and 7pm.
Removal on Tuesday morning February 11 to St. Mary’s Church, Lucan arriving for Funeral Mass at 10am followed by burial in Esker Cemetery.

Eileen Connell - Portlaoise
The death took place on February 6 of Eileen Connell (née Cooke), Newry and Portlaoise.
Eileen died peacefully surrounded by her loving family. Beloved wife of the late Michael R.I.P., devoted mother of Roisin, Brendan and Kevin and treasured sister of James and the late Mary, Dan, Sean and Eddie R.I.P.
Her remains will repose at her late residence 4 Beechmount Park, Newry on Friday for family only and on Saturday and Sunday from 12noon until 8pm for anyone wishing to pay their respects. Requiem Mass for Eileen will be celebrated on Monday at 12.30pm in St. Catherine’s Church, Dominic Street, burial afterwards in St. Mary’s cemetery.
Deeply regretted and sadly missed by her sons, daughter, daughters-in-law Roisin and Sian, grandchildren Caoimhe, Aine, Michael, Daniel, Christian, Darcey and Anne, also her brother, nieces, nephews and the entire family circle.
Blanche Cooper - Stradbally
The death took place on February 7 of Blanche Cooper (née Stanley), Blackrock, formerly Templeogue, Co Dublin and Stradbally, Co. Laois.
Peacefully, in her 92nd year, in the excellent care of Four Ferns Nursing Home, Foxrock. Beloved wife of the late Leslie, much loved and devoted mother of Twila, Daryl, Bill and Colleen and loving mother-in-law. Adored gran of Murray, Simon, Katie, Rebecca, Daniel, Ben, Robyn, Emily, Adam and Shona and great grandmother of Louie. Sister of the late Jan, Bill and Bert.
She will be fondly remembered by family and friends.
Thanksgiving Service on Monday February 10 at 10:30am in Kill o' the Grange Parish Church, A94 FC80 followed by cremation in Mount Jerome Crematorium Chapel, Harold's Cross, Dublin 6W. Family flowers only please.

Margaret O'Brien (née Slattery)
The death took place on February 7 of Margaret O’Brien (née Slattery) The Hermitage, Portlaoise, Co. Laois and formerly of St. Joseph’s Terrace, Clarecastle, Co. Clare.
Peacefully at Kilminchy Lodge Nursing Home, Portlaoise. Predeceased by her husband Gerard (Gerry). Sadly missed by her children Michael, Gerard, John and Patrick, daughter-in-law Denise, grandchildren Robert, Jessica, Sophie, Tia and Bowie, great-grandchildren Freddy and Frankie, sisters Breda, Deloris and Theresa, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and friends.
Funeral Arrangements: Reposing at SS Peter and Paul’s Church, Clarecastle, Co. Clare, (V95 T861) on Monday February 10 from 5 pm concluding with prayers at 6 pm. Funeral Mass at SS Peter and Paul’s Church, Clarecastle, on Tuesday February 11 at 11 am. Burial afterwards in Clarehill Cemetery, Clarecastle.

Julia O'Connell - Vicarstown
The death has taken place on February 7 of Julia O'Connell (née Miller) Vicarstown, Laois.
Julia passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family in her 90th year. Predeceased by her husband Terry and daughter Mary Teresa, brothers Pat and John and Son in law John Kent.
Sadly missed by her daughter Catherine, granddaughter Julie Anne, her brothers Robert, Charlie, James, Dan, sisters Mary Power, Rita Fleming, Elizabeth O’Donnell, Kathleen Smullen, Angela Garvan, Nuala Tomlinson, Agnes O’Connor, brothers in-law, sisters in-law, nieces and nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends.
Reposing at her residence (R32 D928) on Sunday from 2pm to 7pm. Removal by Whelehan Funeral Directors at 7pm to arrive at the Church of the Assumption, Vicarstown (R32 N803), for 7:30pm prayers. Requiem mass on Monday the 10th at 12 noon. Interment to follow in Moyanna Cemetery.
